Briefly
The third city of the republic is located in Lori region. Previously, it was called Gharakilisa, during the Soviet years it was renamed Kirovakan, and Vanadzor began to be called after the independence of Armenia.
The cultural and scientific life of the city is rich. There are 6 higher education institutions in the city. The number of monuments reaches 158.
